Working as a Community:  Hearts are healthier together!

Hermann Area District Hospital is committed to promoting health and wellness in our community.  Studies show that you can live a heart healthy life by connecting with others.  Here’s how to start:

Move more:  invite a co-worker, friend, family member or kids to join you for regular walks or an exercise video or class.

Eat healthy foods: eat healthy, together. Studies suggest that we tend to eat like our friends and family.  Your healthy choices may inspire them. Find heart healthy DASH recipes at:

Reduce stress and improve sleep: practice deep breathing, meditation, taking with someone you can trust to help you cope with stress and sleep better.  If you need help, HADH has skilled therapists that can help. Aim for a healthy weight. Join a buddy or family member in working on weight loss. You’ll both be more successful.
