Hermann Hospital

If you are a patient at Hermann Hospital, our Director of Social Services and Social Worker, Ashten Heying, MSW, is available to assist you and your family in adjusting to your hospitalization and also will help you in making appropriate discharge plans and preparations when the time comes.

As your Social Worker, Ashten is also available to help you and your family with topics such as the following:

There may come a time in your life when you are left unable to express your wishes concerning medical care. It is possible to make your wishes known – before these instances occur. Through the use of an official Health Care Directive (Living Will), you can make choices in advance about medical life prolonging procedures you may want or not want. By appointing a Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare, you can name someone you trust to make healthcare decisions for you, if you are unable to do so. Ashten is available to assist with the completion of your Advance Directive.

Clinics

We also have Licensed Clinical Social Workers available at our clinics who can assist patients in need of Counseling. Our Licensed Clinical Social Workers offer many years of experience and knowledge to share with their patients. Each are Licensed Clinical Social Workers and have their Masters in Social Work. They offer:

Family counseling services.

Our Licensed Clinical Social Workers treat most mental health disorders, including:

Depression
Anxiety
Bipolar Disorder
ADHD
& other behavioral disorders, just to name a few.

The first visit consists of assessing the patient, and the following sessions begin treating accordingly.
